 Punjab Weather Forecast Update Latest News Today: Punjab, a state in northern India, is known for its diverse climate. Let's take a look at the weather forecast and Air Quality Index (AQI) for the region.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Punjab is expected to experience a partly cloudy sky with a maximum temperature of around 22°C  and a minimum temperature of 8°C. The winds will be blowing at a speed of 10-15 km.

The IMD has also predicted the fog is expected to clear up by the afternoon, making way for a sunny day. The AQI in Punjab has been a concern in recent days, with levels fluctuating between "poor" and "very poor". As of January 16, 2025, the AQI in Punjab is expected to be around 250-300, which falls in the "poor" category.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, such as wearing masks and avoiding outdoor activities during peak pollution hours.

  • Amritsar: Partly cloudy sky with a maximum temperature of 22°C (72°F) and a minimum temperature of 8°C 
  • Ludhiana: Partly cloudy sky with a maximum temperature of 23°C (73°F) and a minimum temperature of 9°C 
  • Jalandhar: Partly cloudy sky with a maximum temperature of 22°C (72°F) and a minimum temperature of 8°C 
  • Patiala: Partly cloudy sky with a maximum temperature of 23°C (73°F) and a minimum temperature of 9°C
