Punjab Cold Weather Update Today News: Amid cold wave conditions in Punjab, several parts of the state have witnessed dense to very dense fog. Ballowal Saunkhri in SBS Nagar recorded the minimum temperature in the state. 

As compared to yesterday, i.e. January 14, Punjab witnessed a fall of -0.2 degrees Celsius in average minimum temperature which is below normal by -1.9 degrees Celsius in the state. Likewise, the lowest minimum temperature -0.2 degrees Celsius in the state was recorded at Ballowal Saunkhri (AMFU) in SBS Nagar.

The IMD also stated that dense to very dense fog is very likely to occur over most parts of Punjab and Haryana. 

According to information, Chandigarh recorded 3.6 degrees Celsius, while Chandigarh (Airport) recorded 4.8 degrees Celsius, Amritsar recorded 5.7, Ludhiana 1.0, Patiala 3.2, Pathankot 3.8, Bathinda 2.2, Faridkot 4.4, Gurdaspur 3.1, Ballowal (SBS Nagar) -0.2, Amritsar (AWS) 6.5, Faridkot (AWS) 6.1, Samrala (Ludhiana) 4.8, Mohali 4.1, and Ropar recorded 2.4 degrees Celsius. 

Simlarly, the IMD also reported that very dense fog was very likely over parts of Muktsar, Jalalabad, Ludhiana East, Bagha Purana, Faridkot, Moga, Firozpur, Zira, Shahkot, Patti, Sultanpur Lodhi, Tarn Taran, Khadur Sahib, Nihal Singh Wala, Raikot, Jagraon, Ludhiana West, Phillaur, Nakodar, Phagwara, Jalandhar I, Kapurthala, Jalandhar II, Nawanshahr, Garhshankar, Hoshiarpur, Baba Bakala, Amritsar II, Amritsar I, Batala, Ajnala, Dera Baba Nanak, Bhulath, Dasua, Mukerian, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, and Dhar Kalan.
