One of the protesting farmers was injured after the police resorted to tear gas shells.

Haryana Police Resort to Tear Gas Shells, Water Cannons, Pepper Spray to Stop Farmers Delhi Chalo Protest March: Tensions escalated at the Shambhu border as Haryana Police deployed water cannons to halt the third batch of 101 farmers participating in the “Delhi Chalo” protest march.

The farmers, undeterred by the crackdown, had gathered in large numbers to march towards the national capital, demanding a legal guarantee on Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops and other pressing agricultural issues.

The farmers, led by key leaders from various unions, raised slogans condemning the government’s indifference to their demands. Despite the heavy police presence, the protesters remained steadfast in their commitment to reach Delhi.

Farmer leaders criticized the use of force, calling it an attempt to suppress their peaceful demonstration.

The third batch follows two previous groups that also faced obstacles at the border. Despite the challenges, the farmers vowed to continue their march until their demands are met.
