Despite his frail condition, Dallewal stepped out of his trolley after three days to address farmers gathered at the site.
Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s Health Update: On the 18th day of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s hunger strike at the Khanauri border, concerns over his health have reached critical levels. A medical bulletin issued today revealed that his condition is "very critical," with fluctuations in blood pressure and pulse causing grave concern among doctors. Physicians have warned that the situation could spiral out of control at any moment.
Despite his frail condition, Dallewal stepped out of his trolley after three days to address farmers gathered at the site. Raising a clenched fist and waving to the crowd, he urged them to remain steadfast. His message resonated with courage: “Instead of worrying about my life, focus on strengthening this movement. Winning this front is crucial for saving our future generations and crops.”
The atmosphere at the protest site remains tense but resolute, with farmer leaders bolstering security measures and ensuring readiness to face any challenge. Overnight vigilance has been intensified as supporters rally to sustain the momentum of the protest.
Today, leaders from various farmer organizations, religious groups, and political entities visited the site to express solidarity and inquire about Dallewal’s condition. Among those present were leaders of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, along with notable figures such as Sant Gopaldas, the Ratwara Sahib Committee, Rakesh Tikait, Harinder Singh Lakhowal, Hoshiar Singh Gill, Jagdeep Singh Aulakh, Manjit Singh Dhaner, Kuldeep Singh Wajidpur, Jangveer Singh Chauhan, and MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira.
Effigies of the Central Government and the Haryana-Punjab Governments were burned today at the Khanauri front as a symbolic protest against their inaction. Farmer leaders announced plans for large-scale tractor marches across the country on December 16 at district and tehsil levels, signaling an intensification of their movement.
The farmers remain undeterred, vowing to continue their agitation until their demands, including legal guarantees for MSP and other agricultural reforms, are met. Dallewal’s determination and the unwavering support from his fellow farmers underscore the gravity of their cause.
