Punjab Police Arrests two brothers for Sheltering Fugitive Amritpal Singh

HOSHIARPUR: In a major development, Punjab Police arrested two brothers from a village in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab for feeding dinner and sheltering Waris Punjab De chief and Fugitive Amritpal Singh. Both the brothers belong to Rajpura village. They have been identified as Hardeep Singh and Kuldeep Singh. 

According to police sources, information has come out that the fugitive Amritpal Singh is hiding in Rajasthan. On receiving the information, the Rajasthan Police has launched a search operation in Hanumangarh and four other adjoining districts - Sriganganagar, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Barmer.

Punjab Police is hunting for Amritpal Singh from the last 27 days. Police officials are not giving much information about the investigation. During a press briefing, DGP Umesh Mishra at the police headquarters said, "We are close to success."

After the arrest of Papalpreet Singh, speculations are flying about Amritpal surrendering at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Damdama Sahib or Sri Anandpur Sahib. After this, security has been beefed up at these holy places.
