Horrific Road Accident in Sangrur, Two Youths Crushed to Death, Latest News: Two scooty-borne youths died tragically on the spot after being hit by a heavy trailer in Sangrur.
The accident was extremely gruesome as one of the youths’ bodies was torn into two pieces, and one part got stuck in the truck’s tyre, which dragged it for nearly 30 meters.
After the accident, the truck driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. The families of the deceased are in deep grief, crying inconsolably.
The accident took place on the Sangrur-Dhuri road flyover. The two youths were carrying goods from Sangrur market towards Dhuri on a scooter when they collided with a truck. Both died instantly in the horrific crash.
The impact was so severe that the truck crushed them completely, leaving one youth’s body split in two. The trailer dragged part of the body for about 30 meters before the driver abandoned the vehicle and escaped.
Police are investigating the matter seriously and have launched efforts to trace the absconding driver.
One of the deceased youths was identified as Sunil Kumar, about 27 years old, a resident of village Gurdaspura near Sangrur. He left behind two children and his wife. The other victim was Sandeep, a resident of village Chhitawala near Nabha.
