Principal Dr Navjot Kaur extended gratitude to the Guests

CHANDIGARH: Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, Chandigarh organized an awareness program on drug abuse under the flagship program 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan' in collaboration with Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Nadeem Sultan and Risha Nusrat, State Coordinator (PMU), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi were the Chief Guests.

The aim of the program was to educate students about the ill effects of drug abuse. Prabhjot Kaur Atwal, Nodal Officer, Drug Abuse, Social Welfare Women and Child Development Department, Chandigarh Administration was present on the occasion who appreciated the efforts of the college for creating awareness and motivating the youth to adopt positive health behaviour.

Resource Person, Mahinder Kaur Kataria, Soft Skill Trainer, Motivational Speaker spoke about the harmful effects exercises on the body and mind. The event concluded with all the participants taking an oath to sustain life and adopt nutritious habits.

Principal Dr Navjot Kaur extended gratitude to the guests and resource persons for attending the occasion. She advised the students to always follow a healthy lifestyle for a healthy body and mind. She appreciated the efforts of WADA Club, NSS and NCC units and Innovation Council of the college for organizing the programme.
