Teachers working for more than 10 years would be Regularised

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the government will soon regularize about 14,239 contractual teachers in the state. Out of the total number, 7,902 teachers have already been regularised. The major decision was taken during an important cabinet meeting held at District Mansa today. During the meeting, various issues were discussed and many decisions were approved. 

He said that teachers working for more than 10 years would be regularised. CM Bhagwant Maan said that now there will be no legal hurdle in the appointment of teachers. It has been decided to appoint teachers only after removing all legal hurdles.

Meanwhile, the government has taken a big decision regarding chit fund companies. He said that strict punishment will be given to any company that commits fraud. That company will have to undergo 10 years of imprisonment. The Cabinet meeting has approved changes in the 'law related to chit funds'.

CM Mann further said that 435 MBBS Students will be appointed for house jobs and the government would also recruit 1,880 doctors and nurses in the state. Sanction has been given to Panchayats and Municipal Corporations to implement the report of the Commission.

He said that in various incidents, accidents took place due to stray cattle on the road. Rs 5 Lakh compensation has been announced for those who lost their lives in the accident. During the press conference, CM Mann has made an important announcement that a special session of the Legislative Assembly has also been called on June 19 and 20.
