Punjab News: Moga Chlorine Gas Leak from Sewage Treatment Plant Latest News: A case of chlorine gas leakage has been reported from the sewage treatment plant located on Bukkanwala Road in Moga, Punjab.
When the smell of the leaking gas began spreading, fire brigade vehicles were immediately called in by the Moga Municipal Corporation. Moga Mayor Baljit Singh and all the fire brigade employees reached the spot, and the gas leak was brought under control.
Meanwhile, the health of one fire brigade worker deteriorated due to gas poisoning. He was first rushed to the government hospital in Moga, and later admitted to a private hospital, where his condition is reported to be out of danger.
No official confirmation has yet been made regarding the cause of the chlorine gas leak. Mayor Baljit Singh and Fire Brigade Officer Ravinder Singh confirmed that the leak has been brought under control.
