Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s Major Initiative to Tackle Corruption
Chandigarh: Residents of Punjab will no longer face delays in getting their work done in government offices. To ensure timely completion of tasks, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has introduced the 'Chief Minister's Assistance Centre,' popularly known as the CM Window, across Punjab. The primary objective of this initiative is to eliminate the hassles faced by people in government offices. Launched in July, the CM Window has already resolved thousands of complaints.
As part of the initiative, designated cabins have been established in major cities of Punjab, where citizens can register complaints about unresolved issues in government offices. The program is being expanded to all districts. If a citizen encounters any difficulty in completing their work at a government office, they can visit the CM Window. Complaints that can be resolved at the district level are addressed immediately, while those requiring ministry-level intervention are forwarded to the Chief Minister's dashboard by the end of the day.
Additionally, the system utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to monitor government office operations. The Chief Minister, along with officers, marshals, and MLAs, keeps a close watch on the functioning of these offices using AI tools. Citizens can also file complaints through the help center and online portal.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has made it clear that in cases of corruption at the district level, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) will be held accountable.
These help centers also guide citizens on where and how their work can be completed, streamlining the entire process and minimizing inconvenience. To further assist the public, the Punjab government has organized 'Sarkar Aapke Dwaar' camps, bringing various departments together under one roof to address people's concerns effectively.
This initiative represents a significant step towards creating a more transparent, efficient, and citizen-friendly governance system in Punjab.
