Radhika Murder: Chargesheet Filed Against Father Who Shot tennis player Daughter Dead Lates News: Two months after junior international tennis player Radhika Yadav was murdered by her father, on July 10, Sector 56 police filed the chargesheet in a local court on Thursday, The Times of India reported. 

According to the report, citing police sources, Deepak, despite investing heavily in grooming his 25-year-old daughter as a tennis player, killed her following an argument after he asked her to quit coaching. He was reportedly deeply affected and influenced by “taunts” from relatives and villagers about being financially dependent on his daughter.

The incident occurred at the family’s Sector 57 home around 10:30 am. Radhika was in the kitchen when Deepak suddenly took out his gun, approached her, and shot her four times from behind.

The report said that initially, family members in the house thought a cooker had exploded. Radhika’s mother was downstairs at the time and the sound of gunshots alerted Radhika’s younger brother, Kuldeep, who lives on the ground floor, prompting him to rush upstairs. He found his sister bleeding and slumped on the ground. Neighbours and family members rushed her to a private hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
