Spokesman News Service: Chandigarh, November 06: The Government agencies and private millers have procured 120.90 LMT of Paddy in Punjab till November 5. Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured approximately 120.08 LMT of paddy while 81341 MT has been procured by the millers.
Giving the details, the spokesman said that PUNGRAIN has procured 41.49 LMT, MARKFED 27.62 LMT and PUNSUP procured 24.72 LMT while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation(PSWC) and Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation(PAFC) procured 11.70 LMT and 12.52 LMT paddy respectively. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 202938 MT paddy.
