BARNALA: In a recent search operation conducted at the Barnala Sub-Jail, authorities recovered two mobile phones. The incident has prompted the police to take swift action, registering a complaint under the Prison Act.

Police Station City 1 SHO Baljit Singh confirmed that a case has been filed against unidentified inmates based on the complaint lodged by Assistant Superintendent Harbans Singh. During the thorough search, law enforcement officials discovered a golden-colored keypad mobile phone equipped with a battery. Simultaneously, another discovery emerged, a black keypad mobile phone devoid of a SIM card. Both findings have resulted in the initiation of formal legal proceedings, with the police registering FIRs for each case.
