Spokesman News Service: Chandigarh, November 2: The Government agencies and private millers have procured 10390158 metric tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till November 01. Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the government agencies procured 10316018 MT of paddy while 74140 MT has been procured by the millers.

Giving the details, the spokesman said that PUNGRAIN has procured 3531979 tonnes, MARKFED 2388079 tonnes and PUNSUP procured 2122613 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation procured 1018800 and 1076876 MT paddy respectively. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 177671 MT paddy.
