In Punjab, the lowest minimum temperature of 23.6°C was recorded at Ballowal Saunkhri (AMFU).

Punjab Weather Updates Today: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Chandigarh, has issued orange and yellow alerts for several districts of Punjab for July 1, warning of heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and other adverse weather conditions.

Districts Under Orange Alert (July 1): Rupnagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, and Sangrur. These districts are expected to experience very heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls.

Districts Under Yellow Alert (July 1): Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Ludhiana, Moga, SAS Nagar, and Barnala. These districts are likely to witness heavy rain, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls.

No warnings have been issued for the remaining districts in southwest Punjab for today.

Weather Forecast for July 2:
On July 2, IMD has issued a yellow alert for eastern Punjab districts.
There are no alerts for districts in western Punjab.

Extended Weather Outlook for the Week:
The weather is likely to remain cloudy and cool throughout the week, with the IMD forecasting very heavy rainfall in most districts across the state.

Weather Observed in the Past 24 Hours (as of July 1):
Today, on July 1, a rise of 0.1°C was observed in the average minimum temperature compared to the previous day, bringing it close to normal levels across the state.

In Punjab, the lowest minimum temperature of 23.6°C was recorded at Ballowal Saunkhri (AMFU), while Patiala received the maximum rainfall at 34.4 mm.

On June 30, Bathinda Airport recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 38.6°C (reported at 5:30 PM).

The lowest daytime temperature was reported from the Thein Dam (AWS), Pathankot, at 28.7°C.
