The Government of Punjab is set to launch the Punjab Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme for shaping the bright future of students. According to government sources, skill-based education in business and marketing will be provided to students of classes 11th and 12th in government schools under this scheme. The Mann government has taken a significant step towards promoting skill-based education. The objective is to prepare young people for employment instead of imparting theoretical knowledge only. This approach will create new opportunities for the state's youth towards self-reliance. Students will gain financial literacy and independence and also learn the fundamentals of marketing and entrepreneurship in this scheme. This is a far-sighted move to empower and enable every student to move forward with competence and confidence. By incorporating modern technology, the government is ensuring that skill training is in line with new technologies and industry needs.

Students will be encouraged to become job creators instead of job seekers. Under this scheme, the Punjab government will provide all kinds of support, including financial and technical assistance, to all students with progressive mindsets. The Mann government has fully lived up to the trust shown by the people of Punjab. The people of Punjab's faith in the Mann government is growing day by day.

The Punjab Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme will bring a new era for Punjab along with a bright future for its students. The Punjab Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme will prove to be a milestone in the education revolution. The AAP government's objective is more than helping students obtain degrees or diplomas; it is about teaching them skills to earn a livelihood alongside their studies. The 'Schools of Eminence' launched by the Mann government are the foundation of this initiative. The skills of students from classes 9th to 12th are honed in these schools. Here, free preparation for competitive exams such as JEE, NEET, and civil services will also be provided, which will prove successful for the bright future of Punjab's youth.

In April 2025, Chief Minister Mann inaugurated the 'World Skill Excellence Complex' in Ludhiana, including a state-of-the-art Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and a Multi-Skill Development Centre (MSDC). This complex has the capacity to provide training to over 3,000 students annually. The Mann government has revitalised Punjab's ITI institutions. Due to modern technology and improved training, enrolment in these institutions has increased dramatically, from 50-60% to 97%. The government is also using skill development to protect young people from drug addiction. In July 2025, a special course was launched to educate students about the ill effects of drug abuse. This programme focuses on reaching over 800,000 students and empowering them to stay away from drugs. Through the 'Punjab Skill Development Mission', the Mann government is also protecting the youth of Punjab from the drug epidemic, thereby building a developing Punjab.

Mann led Punjab government's focus on skill education is a crucial investment in the future of Punjab's youth. From 'Schools of Eminence' to modern ITIs and skill development centres, these initiatives are focused on educating young people and also making them economically self-reliant. This approach can establish Punjab as a state where education is directly linked to employment and prosperity, and all this is becoming possible under the Mann government. After many years, a new era has begun in Punjab's education sector.
