Chandigarh:The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 1,59,864 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 28th day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 1,59,864 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 158742 MT of wheat 1122 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtyias).
WheatHe further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 38049 metric tonnes, MARKFED 41450 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 31419 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 23750 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 17812 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 6262 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 118,77,912 MT
