The first list of candidates also included the name of Sushil Kumar Rinku who later joined BJP.

Lok Sabha Election 2024, AAP Punjab candidates: In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday announced the second list of candidates from Punjab that includes the names of Malwinder Kang and Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal.

According to information, Malwinder Kang has been deployed from Sri Anandpur Sahib while Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal will contest from Hoshiarpur.

Earlier, AAP had announced the first list of seven candidates. From Amritsar, AAP has deployed Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal who currently holds the Ministry of NRI Affairs, while Laljit Singh Bhullar has been deployed from Khadoor Sahib, Gurpreet Singh GP will contest from Fatehgarh Sahib, Karamjeet Anmol from Faridkot, Gurmeet Singh Khudian from Bathinda, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer from Sangrur and Dr Balbir Singh from Patiala.  

Apart from Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, the list includes three more ministers of Punjab. These are Laljit Singh Bhullar, Transport Minister, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Sports Minister, and Dr Balbir Singh, Health Minister.

The first list of candidates also included the name of Sushil Kumar Rinku who later left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined the BJP party given the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. After this, Sushil Kumar Rinku has also been announced as a candidate of the BJP party from Jalandhar.
