Wife, brother arrested in UP farmer's murder

Muzaffarnagar: The wife and brother of a farmer, who was strangled inside his house in a village in Shamli district, were arrested today for allegedly killing him, police said.

The 55-year-old farmer, Satpal, was killed on Wednesday night in Chadhawa village, police said. During the investigation, the police found Satpal's brother Vinod Kumar and wife Minu were allegedly having an illegitimate relationship, Circle Officer Rajesh Kumar Tiwari told PTI. Satpal was against their relationship, Tiwali said.

They have confessed to the crime and were sent to jail, he claimed.
