Two teenagers were laid down on the road bleeding in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur as the police who came for their help refuse to take them to the hospital as they don't want any blood in their patrol vehicle.
The boys, both 17, died before they could finally reach the hospital.
"Nobody else has a car here. Take them," a man present repeatedly requests the policemen. "They are also somebody's children... Plz take them to the hospital...", other man requests the policemen.
But a policemen while dismissing their pleas says, "It will stain our car."
"Your car can be washed but..." another voice tells the policemen.
"When the car goes for a wash, where will we sit all night," retorts one of them.
The accident took place when both the teenagers Arpit and Sunny
were going home on a motorcycle when they hit a pole. Passerby rushed to help and Dial 100 for police help. The police reached the spot
but didn't take the victims to the hospital.
By the time another vehicle from the local police station arrived, it
was already too late. The boys were declared brought dead at the
hospital.
DIG of Saharanpur said that the policemen acted in an extremely inhuman way. We are taking strict action against them. For now they have been suspended.
He added they will not hesitate to file an FIR and take necessary action.
