New Delhi: Three people, including a 12-year-old boy, were killed in road accidents in various parts of the city on Holi, police said today.

Last year during the festival, two people had reportedly lost their lives in accidents.

The boy, Atlmas, was crushed by a speeding van while he was riding a cycle in the Bawana area. Locals caught hold of the driver and handed him over to the police.

In Begumpur area, a person died after his car hit a road divider, a police officer said.

In another incident, a 65-year-old woman and her husband were injured when they were hit by a speeding car in Model Town.

They were rushed to a hospital where the woman was declared dead, police said. The man was discharged from the hospital after treatment, they said.  PTI
