Six women vendors arrested for hounding tourist on Goa beach

Panaji: Six women vendors were arrested today for hounding a foreign tourist at Calangute beach, police said.

The women, in the age group of 27 to 38 years, sell items on the beach unauthorisedly and were arrested for creating nuisance, inspector Jivba Dalvi said.  

"They have been arrested under section 34 (IV) of the Police Act, pertaining to offences committed on roads, for nuisance and obstructing tourists," Dalvi said. PTI
