PWD imposes Rs 27 Lakh penalty to AAP in Delhi

The Public Works Department of Delhi Government has imposed a penalty of Rs 27 lakh on the party for taking illegal possession of Aam Aadmi Party’s office. Official sources said that on May 31, the penalty amount was 27,73,802 rupees

New Delhi: The Public Works Department of Delhi Government has imposed a penalty of Rs 27 lakh on the party for taking illegal possession of Aam Aadmi Party’s office. Official sources said that on May 31, the penalty amount was 27,73,802 rupees. This penalties will be collected from the party. According to sources, if the party does not vacate the office then the penalty amount may increase. In April, PWD had issued a notice to AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal asking to evacuate the office. According to the department, this office has been allotted for violation of the rules.
