Muzaffarnagar: A fast track court here today sentenced a man to life for burning his wife to death in two years ago.

Judge Ashok Kumar has also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on Nirdosh Kumar after holding him guilty for murder.

Kumar had killed his wife Sharmila on October 5, 2016, government lawyer Anod Balyan said. The woman's father had a lodged a complaint, he said. PTI
