Khudiram Bose, a young hero of freedom struggle

Khudiram Bose, a resident of West Bengal joined freedom struggle when he was just a teenager. The small boy had a big dream to see India free from the clutches of British rule. Bose had planned the murder of Kingsford, the magistrate of Muzaffarpur, Bihar who was famous for passing harsh and cruel sentences to young freedom fighters. So, that’s why revolutionaries had planned to kill him.

So, that’s why revolutionaries had planned to kill him.

Bose was assigned the task of killing Kingsford. On the evening of April 30, 1908, he threw bomb at Kingsford carriage. Unfortunately, Kingsford was not in the carriage.

He was arrested by the police and sentenced to death. The martyr Bose was just 18 years old when he kissed the gallows. He proved that a teenager in India had the ability to stand against the imperialism. Those who create are rarer still and Bose was one of them. He will be remembered with pride and honor.
