Bengaluru: Four gold biscuits valued at Rs 14 lakh were today seized from a woman passenger at Kempegowda International Airport here, customs officials said.

She had arrived by an Emirates flight E K 568 from Dubai early morning, they said. Sources in the customs department said she had hid the biscuits, weighing 466 grams, in her rectum.

On questioning her, she said her handlers in Dubai had given her the consignment promising that they would give her Rs 25,000 if she delivered it to their henchmen, they said.

The woman hails from Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu. A customs official said they have detained the woman and booked a case against her.
