New Delhi: An eight-year-old girl was
allegedly raped by an 87-year-old man in outer Delhi's Narela,
police said today.
The accused has been arrested.
On December 4, he lured the girl, who was playing
outside, to his makeshift barn in Rohini.
He tried to force himself on her. Since the barn did not
have a roof, a woman, who was standing on the terrace of her
house, saw the accused with the girl, the police said.
She raised an alarm and alerted locals who rushed to the
spot. The accused fled from there.
Police were subsequently informed and the girl was taken
for a medical examination. A case was registered. The accused
was arrested from the area on the same day. PTI
