SCO Summit 2025: China Uses Humanoid AI Robot Xiao He to Assist Media Personnel Latest News: China is using the Humanoid AI robot Xiao He to Assist Media Personnel at the SCO Summit 2025, which commenced today and is slated to culminate on September 1 in Tianjin, China.

The primary role of the AI robot is to provide intelligence services, including language translation.

The Humanoid AI robot Xiao He, talking to IANS, a news agency, said, "The 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit Media Center provides comprehensive services for registered domestic and international media, including radio and television broadcasting, press conferences, official photography, forum information, technology and cultural exhibitions, as well as dining and refreshments..."

It added, “The primary role is to provide the intelligence services and support during the 2025 SCO Summit, including language translation, information assistance, and well support for media personnel.”
