Bhubaneswar, Odisha: Red Alert Ssued For Cyclone 'Montha' Latest News: Preparations are underway in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, as a red alert has been issued in the state due to Cyclone 'Montha', ANI reported, citing an official.
Eight districts have been placed under a red alert, and rescue teams have been deployed in all these districts, Chief Fire Officer Ramesh Chandra Majhi told ANI.
Majhi said, “The Odisha CM has directed everyone to ensure that no life is harmed. There are eight red alert districts, and 123 of our teams have been deployed in all these areas; all the equipment they need is available to them.

“Dewatering will take place in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Brahmapur. A total of 144 teams will remain here to address urban flooding and other regular incidents.”
JCBs have been stationed in the hilly areas to ensure prompt removal of debris, the officer added.
The Chief Fire Officer urged everyone to strictly follow the guidelines laid down by the government.
“It will be safe to leave the house only when the government gives the green signal,” he said, adding, “I request everyone to follow the guidelines issued by the government.”
