Mukhtar Ansari News: Court Hands Down Verdict Sentencing the Notorious Gangster
Mukhtar Ansari News: In a significant legal development, Mukhtar Ansari, a well-known figure in criminal circles, has been dealt a major blow by the MP Legislative Court. On Friday, he was handed a 10-year prison sentence and fined Rs 5 lakh. Additionally, the court sentenced the second accused, Sonu, to 5 years in prison and a fine of Rs 2 lakh.
The Judgment was delivered by MP Legislative Court Judge Arvind Mishra, who had already pronounced Mukhtar Ansari guilty in the gangster case a day earlier. In a courtroom appearance on Friday, Mukhtar expressed his frustration, asserting, "Sir, I have nothing to do with this matter. I have been in jail since 2005." His lawyer, Liakat, conveyed that they intend to pursue the case further, with an appeal in the High Court, maintaining hope for justice.
The Case at the center of this legal ordeal dates back to 2009 when Kapildev Singh, a resident of Suapur under the jurisdiction of Karanda police station, was tragically murdered. Mukhtar Ansari was implicated as an accused under Section 120B in the murder case. Notably, Mukhtar Ansari was previously acquitted in the initial Kapildev murder case.
However, the district administration brought forth a significant turn of events by merging the Kapildev murder case with an attempted murder case and subsequently registering a gangster case against Mukhtar Ansari at the Karanda police station. This led to Mukhtar Ansari's conviction by the court, resulting in the recent sentencing.
