Swarms of locusts entered the NCR region in Gurugram on Saturday from an adjoining district in Haryana.

Gurugram: Swarms of locusts entered the NCR region in Gurugram on Saturday from an adjoining district in Haryana.

Houses and trees were covered by locusts in some parts of Gurugram as the swarms continue to advance from west to east with steady wind. It is also likely to reach Delhi.

Locusts LocustsOn Friday, Gurugram administration reportedly warned its residents about the attack, urging them to keep their windows shut as precaution.

The locust attack has ravaged parts of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and few other states for over a month after the swarms entered the country from Pakistan.
