During celebrations, it is very important to play with bonfires and bright colors. On the day of Holika Dahan, singing and dancing are performed around a bonfire called Holika, which symbolizes the burning out of evil spirits. Various objects are often thrown into the flames: wood, dead leaves, twigs, etc.

It marks an occasion to let go and celebrate life. Families and friends gather together to playfully toss colorful paint and glitter powder at each other and into the air, soaking them head to toe in paint.

Although the origins of Holi can be traced back to South Asia, Holi is popular all over the world.
