Monu Manesar Secures Bail on Rs 1 Lakh Surety Bond in Connection with Nuh Violence

NUH (HARYANA): A Haryana court granted bail to Monu Manesar in the Nuh violence case on Monday. Monu Manesar, represented by his lawyer Kulbhushan Bharadwaj, was granted bail on a surety bond of Rs 1 lakh. The bail was confirmed by Nuh Judicial Magistrate (First Class), Amit Kumar Verma. However, it's important to note that Monu Manesar, also known as Manesar Pataudi, remains in judicial custody in connection with a separate case in Gurugram. He was arrested on September 12 in relation to the Nuh violence case.

The Case in question involves an FIR filed by Nuh police, concerning a social media message allegedly posted by Manesar. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad had reportedly planned to resume a halted yatra by organizing a procession on August 28. The Nuh police had interpreted the post as an attempt to stir enmity among groups based on religious lines. The Nuh incident dates back to July 31, when a religious procession led by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad was attacked, resulting in six casualties and triggering subsequent communal violence. This incident was followed by an attack on a mosque in Gurugram, resulting in the death of a cleric.

In a related development, a court in Gurugram had earlier sent Bajrang Dal worker Manesar to 14-day judicial custody in a case related to 'attempt to murder.' Furthermore, a district court in Rajasthan had ruled on a similar case last month. The legal proceedings are ongoing as authorities continue to address the implications of the Nuh violence incident and the related arrests.
