He breathed his last at around 1 am on Monday

GUWAHATI: Senior journalist Pushp Paul Singh passed away due to cardiac arrest in Guwahati on Monday. According to sources, he was suffering from a heart-related disease for some time. He breathed his last at around 1 am on Monday morning.

PP Singh started his career in journalism with 'The Times of India' Media organisation in Tripura and has been involved in the field of journalism for over 30 years. Meanwhile, the senior journalist also worked at Echo Times and BBC and started the first news portal from the North-East.

Assam Chief Minister Himant Biswa Sarma expressed grief over the demise of a veteran journalist. CM wrote, "Deeply saddened to learn of the demise of veteran journalist Pushp Paul Singh, who was a well-known face of media in the North East for 3 decades. Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and well wishers. Om Shanti!”
