New Delhi: The nationwide lockdown 3.0 in the wake of the corona virus epidemic is coming to an end on Sunday. Given the rapid rise of the virus, a third lockdown is expected to increase as Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself indicated in his address to the nation.
LockdownThe lockdown could be extended till May 31. However, Lockdown 4.0 is expected to have several exceptions. It can now be announced at any time. The lockdown was first announced from March 25 to April 14. It was later extended to May 3 and then till May 17. Now, for the third time, the lockdown is on the rise.
In Lockdown 4.0, Auto rickshaw and cab services may be allowed subject to conditions. They may be allowed to seat a maximum of 2 passengers.
Photo Domestic flights may also be approved if the two states concerned agree on where the flight is to go and where it is to arrive. The Center wants to start all domestic flights but many states are against it.
Restaurants and shopping malls may also be allowed to open subject to certain conditions. Containment zones can be tighter. States may have the right to decide which activities are allowed in which zones.
So far, the Union government has been deciding on red, orange and green zones but only the Centre can change that.
