Ganga Maayya's water level surged alarmingly over two days, raising concerns about potential flooding as holy month of Shravan approaches.
Ganga Mayya water level at flood risk ahead of Shravan : The water level of Ganga Maayya is rising rapidly, with a significant increase observed over the past two days. The holy month of Shravan, set to begin on the 22nd, will last for a month, drawing many devotees to the river.
However, the continuous rise in the water level is concerning. In just two days, five steps have submerged, a phenomenon that typically occurs only after 15 days during the last month of Shravan. If this trend continues, there is a risk that even the temple of Ganesh ji may be flooded, posing a threat to the holy site and its visitors.
The authorities need to take immediate measures to monitor the water levels and ensure the safety of the devotees and the preservation of the sacred sites. Preparations should be made to manage the influx of pilgrims while addressing the potential risks posed by the rising waters.
