Police have sent the ice cream for investigation while the finger has been sent for forensic analysis.

Human Finger Found in Yummo Ice Cream Cone in Mumbai's Malad, Yummo company owner name: In a horrific event, a Mumbai-based doctor Orlem Brandon Serrao ordered an ice cream online to find an "extra topping"— a human finger. Yes, you read it right. Dr Serrao lives in the suburbs of Malad and asked his sister to include some ice cream while ordering groceries online. 

However, the craving for ice cream led to an unexpected turn of events wherein he was left traumatized when he felt something in his mouth that initially appeared to be a nut but later on it turned out to be a finger.

A photo has surfaced on social media in which a human finger can be seen sticking out of the ice cream. Mr Serrao shared the harrowing experience in a video statement. He said he felt lucky that he did not swallow it.

"I had ordered three cone ice creams from an app. One of them was a butterscotch ice cream of the Yummo brand. After eating half of it, I felt a solid piece in my mouth. I thought it could be a nut or a chocolate piece and spat it out to check what it was," said Dr Serrao.

"I am a doctor so I know how body parts look like. When I carefully examined it, I noticed the nails and fingerprint impressions under it. It resembled a thumb. I am traumatized," he said.

Dr Serrao responded well and immediately put the object in an ice pack so that he could show it to the police. He also filed a complaint with the Malad police.

In the meanwhile, Ravi Adane, Senior PI, Malad Police Station said, "We received a complaint stating that a piece of flesh was found in the ice cream ordered online. We have taken the piece of flesh for investigation. A case under sections 272, 273, and 336 of the Indian Penal Code, has been registered against the ice cream company. We are investigating the case..."

Likewise, the police have sent the ice cream for investigation while the finger has been sent for forensic analysis. Not only this but the presence of a body part in the food item has raised suspicion of a bigger crime and the police have been investigating the matter.

Notably, the Yummo Ice Creams was launched in 2012 and co-founded by Walko Food Co. Ltd.
