A minor student was grievously injured after being thrown in front of a moving train by two boys for protesting against molestation
BAREILLY/LUCKNOW: A Horrific incident unfolded in the CB Ganj Police Station area of Bareilly city, where a minor student was brutally thrown in front of a moving train by two boys after she resisted molestation on Tuesday evening. The victim suffered severe injuries, resulting in the amputation of both her feet, and is presently in critical condition, fighting for her life.
The Authorities swiftly responded to the heinous act, with one accused apprehended in connection with the case. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed strong condemnation of the incident and has held CB responsible for negligence in handling the matter. In response, three policemen, including an inspector in charge of Ganj police station, a sub-inspector, and a constable, have been ordered to be suspended.
The victim, a 17-year-old intermediate student from a village within the CBgunj police station area, would travel to CBgunj every evening for coaching. During her commute, she faced harassment by a young man and his associate. When her family learned of the distressing situation, they confronted the perpetrators, demanding an end to the harassment. Regrettably, their pleas fell on deaf ears, and the accused individuals remained unrepentant.
The family had lodged a complaint with the CBgunj police, detailing the incidents of molestation. However, they alleged that the police had not taken appropriate action, failing to visit the village or conduct an investigation into the matter.
