Jammu and Kashmir Kathua Terrorist Attack Latest News: In a major incident, five Indian Army personnel were killed in the Kathua terrorist attack on Monday. According to information, an attack was carried out on Army vehicles in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua on Monday by Pakistani terrorists who used sophisticated weapons to maximize casualties, the sources said. 

It is also being reported that the terrorists also spied the area, possibly with the help of local supporters, which hints it was a planned targeted attack.

The sources also revealed that the advanced weapons were used in the attack including M4 Carbine rifles and explosive devices, among other ammunition. 

The attack occurred at Badnota village, which lacks proper road connectivity, while vehicles cannot move at speeds greater than 10-15 kilometers per hour. It is being said that the terrorists took advantage of the terrain while the army vehicles were moving very slowly.

The terrorists targeted the Indian army truck on the Machedi-Kindli-Malhar road near Badnota village in Lohai Malhar around 150 km from Kathua town, around 3:30 pm. A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) was among the five Army personnel who were killed in the attack. Likewise, five other soldiers were injured and hospitalized.

Notably, this is the fifth terror attack in the Jammu region within a month.
