Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has recorded a historic victory in the Delhi Assembly Election 2025. The party emerged victorious in 48 out of 70 seats. The saffron camp has regained the national capital for the first time in 27 years by knocking out Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) that had secured 22 seats. Congress could not secure even a single seat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the BJP workers and leaders, thanking the people of Delhi for their support. He said, "I bow to the people of Delhi, who have given us this opportunity to serve them. Today, Delhi has shown that it wants development and progress."

The victory was celebrated with a grand event at the party headquarters, open the doors for workers and leaders. Modi said that the BJP-led government would make Delhi a world-class city by concentrating on infrastructure development, education, and public welfare.

AAP chief, who lost the seat to BJP's Parvesh Verma, admit the defeat and congratulated BJP for a victory. "I congratulate the BJP for this victory and also pray that this government will serve the people of Delhi better," Kejriwal said.

The BJP's victory in Delhi is considered a significant boost to the party's national ambitions after its recent successes in other state elections. Its strategy of focusing on development and governance issues was seen to resonate with the voters, leading to its impressive performance in the election.
