The raids come hours before the Aam Aadmi Party's big exposure on ED.

ED Raid on Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's personal secretary, AAP leaders Today: In a major development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at over 12 locations, including the residence of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's personal secretary among others connected to the Aam Aadmi Party as part of its money laundering probe, the sources revealed on Tuesday.

However, the raids come hours before the Aam Aadmi Party's big exposure on ED. Notably, AAP leader Atishi had said on Monday "I will be doing an explosive exposé on ED at 10 am tomorrow (i.e. Tuesday, February 6)! Watch this space…"

According to information, the ED has initiated raids on over 12 locations at the premises of  Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's personal secretary and other senior AAP leaders. These leaders include AAP Rajya Sabha MP Narayan Das Gupta and former Delhi Jal Board (DJB) member Shalabh Kumar.

It may be recalled that the Enforcement Directorate, last week, moved a special court seeking compliance to the repeated summonses issued to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and asking him to appear before the investigating officers of the agency probing the alleged Delhi liquor scam.

Following a brief hearing on the complaint filed by ED, the judge posted the matter for hearing on February 7. It is pertinent to mention that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has already skipped 5 summonses issued to him. He termed these summons as illegal on the grounds that he was not an accused in the case.

The plea in the court against the Delhi CM marked a switch of tack on the part of ED which last week arrested Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren after he refused to respond to the corruption charges.

In the meanwhile, the ED officials maintained that Arvind Kejriwal's disregard of summonses may be seen as him not cooperating with the investigation, which is enough reason for the agency to arrest him and approach the court for custodial interrogation.
