Women Wrestlers and their medals are the heritage of the country: Farmers

New Delhi: The difficulties of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, former President of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and BJP Member of Parliament, facing allegations of sexual harassment of wrestlers, seem to be increasing. Various organizations including Khap Panchayat and Bharatiya Kisan Union have raised their voices in support of the country's wrestlers who are adamant on demanding action against Brij Bhushan Singh.

After Muzaffarnagar, a Khap Mahapanchayat is going to be held today in Kurukshetra of Haryana in support of wrestlers. A major announcement is likely to be made in this 'Sarva Khap Panchayat'. Earlier, Sarv Khap Mahapanchayat was called in Soram of Muzaffarnagar in UP. Fifty Khap Panchayats from Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab participated in this mahapanchayat. A decision has been taken to support the wrestlers in the Maha Panchayat.

Reportedly, A decision was taken that women wrestlers and their medals are the heritage of the country and any kind of trouble with them will not be tolerated. Even if they have to resort to agitation. Meanwhile, BKU leader Rakesh Tikait said that all avenues for talks with the government are now open. First of all, efforts will be made to meet the country's President Droupadi Murmu and Home Minister Amit Shah and the side of the wrestlers will be presented before them. If there is no way out even on this, then the path of agitation will be chosen to convey our point.

Rakesh Tikait further said that in the Mahapanchayat to be held in Kurukshetra today, it will be decided that a committee should be formed and its members should be engaged for talks with the government. However, he clearly said that no compromise will be made less than the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, former President of Indian Wrestling Federation (WFI) and BJP Member of Parliament.
