The nation has been observing the 75th year of the Quit India movement and remembering the heroes of the movement who led the struggle forward for the independence of the nation from British rule.
A trend on twitter, #QuitIndiaMovement showed the anger of public against the oldest pressure group Rashtriya Swamsewak Sangh (RSS) for raising voice against the movement led by Mahatma Gandhi in 1942.
Sadhvi Khosla, a political analyst showed her anger against the RSS and wrote, “There is nothing ‘Rashtriya’ about the Rashtriya Swam Sewak Sangh.
In Parliament, the AICC President Sonia Gandhi hinted at RSS indirectly and said that few groups opposed Quit India movement launched by Indian National Congress.

National Herald carried out a story titled, “During the Quit India movement, RSS was in bed with Muslim league.”
