BJP MP Kangana Ranaut Meets Flood-Affected Families in Mandi Latest News: Himachal Pradesh: Actress-turned-BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on Monday visited Sainj Panchayat in the Nachan Assembly constituency to meet families affected by recent floods, IANS reported. Ration supplies were also distributed to those impacted.
Kangana Ranaut represents the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh and she met the families of those who died in the flood.
Kangana Ranaut told IANS, “I have approved many development projects related to the MP fund. We stand with the people... We are with the people in every situation..."
She added, “Those who have completely failed in their work and are being cursed by the people of Himachal have no right to lecture me. They should focus on fixing their own shameful situation..."
In a post on X on Monday, she wrote, “Today, I visited the disaster-affected area of Pangliyur in Nachan Assembly segment of the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency.
In the flood tragedy that struck the village of Pangliyur, 9 members from 2 families were swept away, out of which 5 people are still missing. In this difficult time, I met the affected families and shared in their pain and grief. May God give everyone the strength to bear this sorrow.”
She further added, “Ration supplies were also provided to the affected families, and I assured the villagers that their development-related work will be carried out as per their convenience and needs.”
On Sunday, July 6, the Mandi MP had also visited disaster-affected areas in the Karsog Assembly segment of Mandi Lok Sabha, where she took stock of the devastation caused by cloudbursts in Sanarli, Kutti, and Megli (Old Karsog Bazaar).

Following the visit, in a post on X, she wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives, property, and livestock.”
She added,“I will be sharing detailed information about this natural disaster with our respected Prime Minister, Hon'ble Shri Narendra Modi ji, and every effort will be made to provide all possible assistance to the affected families.”
Earlier the same day, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut also visited disaster-affected areas in the Seraj Assembly segment of Mandi Lok Sabha. In a post on X, she wrote that there has been significant damage due to natural calamities in Thunag and Lambathach.

Her post read, “I offered my condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in this tragedy and assured them that we stand firmly with them in this hour of grief. Every possible assistance is being provided to the affected families, and we remain fully committed to serving them.”
As of today, no weather alerts have been issued for the district while several other districts have been issued a yellow alert waning of light rain.
