Chandigarh School Holiday on August 18 Latest News Today: The Governor of Punjab and Chandigarh Administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria, has announced a holiday on Monday, i.e., August 18, for all schools in Chandigarh, be it Government, Government-Aided, or Private schools.

This means the students of Chandigarh will be enjoying a long weekend — 15th August, which was already a holiday due to Independence Day, 16th August, Janmashtami, 17th August, Sunday, and 18th August, which has now been announced by the Chandigarh Administrator.
