Chandigarh Sector 10 Grenade Attack Latest News: In a breakthrough investigation of the recent grenade attack in Chandigarh's Sector 10, the main accused has been arrested by the Punjab Police from Amritsar, Punjab. The attack, which took place earlier this month, had sent shockwaves across the region, raising concerns about safety and security.

The main accused, who had been on the run since the incident, was tracked down following an intensive manhunt by both Chandigarh and Punjab police. According to authorities, the duo was involved in planning and executing the grenade attack that targeted a specific location in the heart of the city.

Giving details, the Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, said, "Punjab Police has arrested the main perpetrator of the Chandigarh Grenade Blast case, in a joint operation with Central Agency. The case is solved with the nabbing of Rohan Masih, resident of village Passia, PS Ramdass, Amritsar Rural and identification of the other accused as well."

"One 9MM Glock pistol alongwith ammunition recovered from his possession. Further investigation to unravel the entire conspiracy is being done jointly in coordination with the Chandigarh Police. Accused in custody of State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar In the preliminary disclosure, Rohan admitted his role in the grenade blast at Chandigarh on 11.09.2024," he added. 

Although no casualties were reported in the blast, the incident heightened tensions, leading to a multi-state search for the culprits.

Punjab Police, in collaboration with Chandigarh Police, traced the accused to Amritsar, where he was apprehended after several days of investigation and surveillance. The arrest came as a significant development in the case, providing crucial leads that might further uncover the motive behind the attack and any potential links to larger networks.
