GTA 5 could be coming to the Nintendo Switch after confirmed by a source who predicted LA Noire on the hybrid console. GTA 5 and GTA 5 Online have long been rumoured to be heading to the Switch, with it one of the most requested games on Nintendo’s smash hit console. 

The upcoming release of LA Noire Re-mastered had raised hopes that GTA 5 could one day head to the Nintendo Switch. And now fans hoping for a Switch version of GTA 5 have been given a big boost. NeoGAF user Vern has spoken out on the possible release on GTA 5 to the Nintendo Switch. 

Vern had correctly predicted the release of the LA Noire remaster on the Switch long before it had been announced. And in a post on NeoGAF thread about LA Noire, Vern appeared to tease a possible GTA 5 release on the Switch. One user in the thread wrote: “Why isn't this port GTA V. No one wanted this game lol”. 

Vern quoted this post and simply replied: “Patience”. The news sent fans on the NeoGAF thread into overdrive about a possible version of GTA 5 on Switch. 

Last month Zelnick said the gaming giant, who own Grand Theft Auto developers Rockstar Games, are very supportive of the Nintendo Switch during a conference call. 

The Take-Two boss said the GTA 5 publisher was excited about the Switch and supportive of it six months ago - and they still are. He said the Nintendo Switch sales are “great” and he expects them to “continue to be great”. 

Zelnick said Take Two were optimistic about the Switch’s future - but did not give any indication whether GTA 5 will be coming to Nintendo’s hit console. He also didn’t discuss the possibility of whether Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar’s next big game, will be released on the Nintendo Switch.
