After this, the Chief Minister took stock of the rising water level of the Ganga River around Patna by road.

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inspected the park being developed by the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on JP Ganga Path. During the inspection, the officials gave information about the park being developed and told the Chief Minister that the length of this park is 500 meters which is located between LCT Ghat and Kurji Ghat. This park is a part of Patna Smart City Project and it is being developed as a picnic spot. Its purpose is to make JP Ganga Path beautiful and attractive.

The Chief Minister instructed the officials that this park is located on the banks of the Ganga River, so get it developed keeping in mind the safety and convenience of the people. A lot of good work is being done here. The development of the park on JP Ganga Path will increase greenery and the people coming here will be able to spend some time with their family. Get this work completed soon.

After this, the Chief Minister took stock of the rising water level of the Ganga River around Patna by road.  During the review, the Chief Minister inspected the rising water level of the Ganga river from Kangan Ghat in Patna City to Nasriganj Ghat in Danapur. During this, the Chief Minister after taking stock of the rising water level of the Ganga river from LCT Ghat on JP Ganga Path, reached NIT Ghat where he took complete information from the officials about the rising water level of the Ganga river and the current situation of the coastal areas. From NIT Ghat via JP Ganga Path, the Chief Minister reached Kangan Ghat, Digha Ghat and Nasriganj Ghat in Danapur and took stock of the rising water level of the Ganga river.

While giving instructions to the officials, the Chief Minister said that keeping in mind the rising water level in the areas along the Ganga river, remain fully alert and be ready at all times to deal with any emergency. Keep reviewing the situation of the coastal areas of the Ganga river, especially the lower areas, continuously and take necessary action immediately if needed so that no damage is caused. An increase in the water level of the Ganga river has been recorded at many places including Nasriganj Ghat, Gandhi Ghat and the current of the river is also very fast.  Keep a close watch on the possible situations and provide necessary help to the people affected by the rising water level as per the SOP.

On this occasion, Chief Minister's Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Chief Minister's Secretary Kumar Ravi, Chief Minister's Special Officer Shri Gopal Singh, Patna Division Commissioner cum Disaster Management Department Secretary Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Patna Municipal Corporation Commissioner Animesh Parashar, District Magistrate Dr. Tyagarajan SM and other senior officers were present.
