Bihar CM Nitish Kumar announces free electricity for all consumers Latest News: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced free electricity up to 125 units in electricity rates ahead of the Bihar elections and said that electricity rates in Bihar are much lower than other states.

The NDA government has been providing electricity to the people of Bihar at affordable rates since the beginning and said that now from August 1, 2025, all domestic consumers of the state will get free electricity up to 125 units from the bill of July month.

 The government claimed that this will benefit a total of 1 crore 67 lakh families in the state. It has also been decided that in the next three years all domestic artisans will get the benefit of Solar Power Plant Incentive Scheme on the roofs of their houses and other large public places.

The entire cost given to the extremely poor family for the solar power plant will be borne by the state government and government assistance will also be taken for the rest.

 Now, for this household chemical, one will not have to spend up to 125 units of electricity, along with this, according to an estimate, the government will provide up to 10 thousand units of solar energy in the state in the next three years.
