New Delhi: In a major development, Whatsapp has introduced a new feature. Now you will be able to use (log-in) the same Whatsapp account in up to four phones at the same time. By the way, with the help of WhatsApp Web, you can use the same account on both phone and PC (desktop), but now this feature will be available for phone as well.
According to the company, this feature of WhatsApp will reach all users in a few weeks. A few days ago this feature was released for WhatsApp beta users. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of META, the parent company of WhatsApp, has given information about this new feature. He wrote - 'Now you will be able to log-in on WhatsApp on four phones at the same time.'
In this new feature of WhatsApp, you will be able to log in to any WhatsApp account on 4 devices at the same time. All these devices will work independently. Additionally, WhatsApp users will be able to run WhatsApp on other secondary devices even when there is no network on the primary device.
Users will be able to send and receive messages, but if the account remains inactive on the primary device for an extended period of time, the account will be automatically logged out from other devices.
If the WhatsApp user wants to log in on another device along with the primary device, he has to go to the WhatsApp application of the secondary device and enter the phone number. After this, the user will receive an OTP on the primary phone. After entering OTP, you will be logged in on the other device as well. Similarly, other devices can be linked by scanning the code on the primary device.
Notably, WhatsApp has around 489 million users in India. Along with this, it has more than 200 crore users worldwide. Whatsapp was launched in the year 2009. In 2014, Facebook bought WhatsApp for $19 billion.
